StoryTandem helps creators and their teams manage authorized Instagram conversations. This policy explains what information we handle and why.
Information we collect
When you use StoryTandem, we may receive your name and email address from the sign-in service, workspace and team information, connected Instagram account identifiers and usernames, encrypted access tokens, Instagram messages and related metadata made available through Meta’s APIs, and basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate users, connect authorized Instagram professional accounts, display and send messages requested by users, support collaboration inside client workspaces, maintain service security, diagnose problems, and improve StoryTandem.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that host or support StoryTandem, and may be disclosed when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer. Instagram data is used only to provide features authorized by the connected account.
Storage and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Instagram access tokens are encrypted at rest. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their credentials and promptly disconnect accounts they no longer wish to use.
Retention
We retain information while an account or workspace remains active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Connected Instagram accounts and locally stored conversation data can be removed from StoryTandem by an authorized workspace creator.
Your choices and deletion
You may disconnect an Instagram account within StoryTandem. To request deletion of your StoryTandem account or associated personal information, follow our Data Deletion Instructions. We may retain limited information when legally required or necessary for security and fraud prevention. View data deletion instructions.
Children
StoryTandem is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as StoryTandem evolves. We will revise the effective date on this page when material changes are published.
